Student Visas (F-1)
Students are not required to hold a student visa to study at inlingua, but if you want to come with a student visa, you should request an Application Form from us or apply on-line at our website, and submit it together with $1,355 (registration $55 and tuition for two months $650x2), a copy of your valid passport, and financial support documents. Then, we will send you the I-20 Form in 5 to 7 working days, so that you can start the procedures with the American consulate. If the visa is denied, tuition fees ($1,300) will be refunded. Proof of rejection must be submitted to us (complete original I-20 Form or Letter of Rejection from the U.S. Consulate).

F-1 Students must complete at least 3 sessions before transferring to another institution.

Financial Support Documents: The Financial Supporting documents that you need to send us are

1) Letter from your bank showing name on the account, date the account was opened, and your current balance. You can present many letters if you have accounts at different banks, or just one letter listing several accounts at the same bank.

2) Letter from employment showing the date you were hired, your position, and your salary.

3) If someone else (sponsor) will be financially responsible for your expenses during your stay in the United States, you must present a notarized Letter of Financial Support from that sponsor. This is a simple letter specifically mentioning that he/she will assume that responsibility. Also, the letters mentioned in items 1 and 2 must be from that sponsor, not from you.

Please note that all documents must be translated into English.

You can have the letters faxed to (703) 527-9866. Inlingua cannot prepare or send you the I-20 Form without having first received a copy of your valid passport and the Financial Supporting documents.

Airport Transfer and Assistance
A school representative will meet the student and help him/her at the airport. Then, our representative will explain details about the city, school, and accommodation, and will take him/her to the family, hotel, or any other arranged place, making the student feel more at ease from the very beginning. We recommend including this important service. It is of a great help in case the students have problems at the airport with visas, documents, delayed or lost baggage, transportation, immigration, etc. Transfer from Dulles International Airport (IAD) is $120 per person, and from Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) $100 per person.

Homestay
You must request Homestay at least 4 weeks in advance to find you a suitable American family. All payments are to be made directly to inlingua® . Please complete our Application for Admission online and fill in the required Homestay section. You must also fully complete the credit card section. Your credit card will be then charged $195 for the one-time non-refundable finder’s fee, plus your homestay expenses for the first month, or for your full stay if under one month. Homestay expenses are as follow: $28.50 per night if you will stay for a minimum of 21 nights, and $32.50 per night for stays under 21 nights. Once the finder’s fee and the Homestay expenses have been paid inlingua®  will start looking for a family for you. The minimum stay is one month, unless the student notifies inlingua® of a shorter initial period at the time of requesting this service. There is no refund if the student leaves the family during the required initial period. Payment for the next period of Homestay must be made no later than the last working day of your current Homestay period. If for any reason the student must leave the family after a new term starts, both inlingua® and the family must be informed at least two weeks in advance to get a refund for the remaining days that the student will not be living there. The Finder's fee is fully refundable only if inlingua® fails to provide a family within three weeks of the request.
