The mission of inlingua® English Center is to provide instruction in English as a Second Language to international students who need it for their academic, professional and personal needs, and to promote cultural understanding. In addition, the center offers TestPrep courses, official testing, and certificate courses for those seeking careers in TEFL and Interpretation.

Classes are offered at 12 levels, from beginning to the most advanced. After Level 9, elective courses are offered, such as American Business Culture, Advanced Conversation, Advanced Reading, Grammar and Writing, TOEFL TestPrep (Test of English as a Foreign Language - required by U.S. colleges and universities), and GRE/GMAT TestPrep courses (Graduate Record Examinations /Graduate Management Aptitude Test). inlingua® Washington, DC is also an official TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) test center. It is administered monthly, and is also open to those not enrolled at inlingua®. Classes are held all year round, except for national holidays.

METHOD & AMBIANCE:

Students are exposed to the language at all times, which ensures that they will begin to think in English. The program includes speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills development. Classes take place in a friendly and professional environment and are conducted by qualified native-speaking English teachers. To ensure personal attention to the students' needs, classes are kept small.
