A NEW E-LEARNING
PRODUCT
In response to demands from the Federal Government and the private sector for distance learning capability, inlingua/DC has developed a teaching strategy that includes the integration of e-learning tools with traditional methods of teaching foreign languages. inlinguaTalk, a web based teaching tool, is the first of many digital learning innovations we plan to introduce in the coming years.

inlinguaTALK is powered by SnapLearn™, an innovative technology that integrates e-learning tools with streaming video technology powered by VIDItalk™. inlinguaTALK allows our instructors to create and deliver coursework that includes full-motion video and audio, as well as digital files of any type, to our students regardless of location and bandwidth. Students respond via their inlinguaTALK account from any PC with Internet access. inlinguaTALK seamlessly integrates with e-mail, instant messaging, and web-based applications, providing a near synchronous digital learning link between our instructors and graduates. inlinguaTALK's dynamic database operates in real time, creating a vast library of information for students and instructors to access 24X7.

LANGUAGE TRAINING ANYWHERE, ANYTIME
inlinguaTALK enables us to offer our curriculum to our current students and graduates in a web-based environment. By using inlinguaTALK, our students can maintain and improve their fluency in their acquired language regardless of their location. inlinguaTALK offers instructors the ability to create and disseminate digital homework assignments, quizzes, and tests from anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world.

inlinguaTALK is uniquely capable of dealing with current events in near real time. This is especially important to graduates in the field who must use their acquired language in their everyday jobs.

 inlinguaTALK enables our instructors to explain phrases, visual cues, slang, gestures, or written words to our students. Our students need only to have access to a small portable camera, PC, or laptop and access to the Internet to respond to instructors' assignments.

inlinguaTALK's integrated chat feature allows our students to chat in the language being taught with their instructors at prearranged times. Students can also chat among themselves in the target language to improve their comprehension and writing skills.

LANGUAGE MAINTENANCE WORKSHOPS
Language is a "use or lose" skill. Unless a student regularly uses the language they learned from us, their proficiency will decline and they will need to return to the school later to start training again. This expensive renewal process can be avoided with effective, convenient maintenance training.

These 30-workshop inlinguaTALK courses are designed to be completed over a four-month period. (This can be made shorter or longer to meet the needs of the student.) They permit the student to continue practicing the language through teacher-guided sessions. Each workshop includes video, audio and a set of activities delivered via the inlinguaTALK website. The process engages the student at all levels and encourages the student to practice listening, speaking reading and writing skills attained during their initial training.

FAMILIARIZATION WORKSHOPS
When your student is working in another part of the world, he can take advantage of his free time to take a familiarization course using the same technology. These courses focus on the need to learn basic survival phrases plus cultural understanding to avoid uncomfortable situations. There are 10 workshops in each course.

inlinguaTALK LANGUAGE HELP DESK
For linguists who are working at home or away, inlinguaTALK provides a Language Help Desk that gives the user access to a native speaker of the language to answer questions about language usage, grammar or culturally sensitive issues. The Language Help Desk is open during working hours. All questions and responses are handled through inlinguaTALK. Subscriptions in five-hour blocks are good for one year.
